BeesFriend — Raw Honey & Bee Rescue, Melbourne
BeesFriend is a raw honey business and no-kill bee rescue based in Berwick, in Melbourne's south-east. It runs 170 colonies across 16 apiaries, rehoming swarms and unwanted hives into a living operation. The approach is deliberate throughout: stationary hives, local genetics, natural beekeeping methods, pure beeswax foundation.
All honey is cold-extracted, unheated, and bottled in glass. The stall carries raw multifloral and creamed honey, cut honeycomb, propolis, bee pollen in small seasonal batches, pure beeswax, and hand-dipped beeswax candles. Awarded across five Victorian agricultural shows since 2020.
BeesFriend also teaches — running pollinator education for World Bee Day, sharing beekeeping practice with the community, and mentoring new beekeepers.
The bees come first. Every sale funds the next rescue.
